LIST OF MAGAZINE ARTICLES
DEALING WITH "EDUCATION" IN THE UNITED STATES

The following is a list of magazine articles dating from 1970 to 1979 dealing with the subject of "Education" or "Schooling". These articles should be available at your local library under the title of "Social Issues Resources Series" 371G under the heading "School".

The articles have been pulled from some of the leading magazines in the United States: U.S. News & World Report, Fortune, Forbes, Money, The Futurist, Christian Science Monitor, Changing Times, etc. and cover varied areas of education and schooling. Some of these articles are from the educators themselves; some from journalists; and others from psychiatrists etc. A lot of this information comes directly from the 'Source' and reveals what many of these people are really trying to accomplish through "school".

The following Headings - in alphabetical order - are used throughout the list:

PLUS (+) AND MINUS (-) RATING SYSTEM

A system of rating the articles is used through out the list. PLUS "+" stands for articles that would be in agreement with a Concerned Parent or Homeschoolersí viewpoint. MINUS "-" stands for articles from the "Educational Establishment" or "Humanist" viewpoint.

If you cannot obtain a particular article from your local library - we will be glad to supply you with a copy for the cost of copying and postage.
