THE PRESENT STATE OF “AMERICA”

I have wondered for some time whether we will come under the kind of persecution that other Christians around the world have been enduring for all these years. Are we any better than them? I trow not! The way things are going in our country we may very well undergo real persecution soon.

Our country has DRIFTED (due to Humanism) so far away from the principals our forefathers laid out in instituting our country that I personally do not believe that there is any turning back. Conservatives (saved & unsaved) keep looking at the few “battles” that are won, every once in a while (like New Jersey, Virginia, & Massachusetts); but the “big picture” (over the long run) reveals that we are LOSING THE WAR!

No matter where you look in our society, whether in marriage, family, church, school, government, media, entertainment, etc., etc. - degradation, disintegration, perversion, and chaos reign.

“Progress” in my 69 years of living in the USA means 50% of marriages being destroyed; families disintegrating; “fundamentalist” churches apostatizing; no prayer, no Bible reading, and no Bible teaching allowed in the “public” (i.e. the government) schools - but fornication is encouraged (as long as condoms are used), the sodomite and the transgender agenda is being implemented, and disobedience, defiance, and rebellion (especially to parents) is being inculcated in children (if not by the teachers and the curriculum, then by their “peers”).

Government officials (elected, appointed, and bureaucracies) have become unprincipled, unethical, and unscrupulous. They are so blind and corrupt that they are bent on implementing their Humanistic agenda, even if it means bankrupting and destroying our country. And as for what is called “entertainment” today, let’s just say that Sodom & Gomorrah had nothing on us (the people of Maine voted down Homosexual marriage by a vote of 53% to 47% - big deal! 47% of the people of Maine see nothing “wrong” with Sodomy!) Our “CULTURE” is CORRUPT from top to bottom; and if “Christians” cannot see this, they are either blind or ignorant of “the word of truth”.

The sin of Sodom was not just the perverted act of “sodomy”:

Ezekiel 16:48 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.
49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Anarchy is so prevalent in “Christendom” today that the only way most churches in the USA can operate is if the pastors become virtual dictators! The problem is FINAL “AUTHORITY”.

Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Practically everything and everybody is OUT OF ORDER (God’s “Order” that is). Husbands no longer love their wives; wives no longer are willing to be in subjection to their husbands; and children are no longer obedient to their parents.

[Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.]

Christians are either so enamored of Christian celebrities, or their church, or their school, or their pastor, that they are willing to follow them into Hell – regardless of the truth; or they are in rebellion to the word of God and have no respect or regard for those men who are trying to faithfully preach and teach the word of God and serve God according to His word.

Isaiah 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Proverbs 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

There is no BALANCE – the world (and most Christians in the Western world) is OUT OF ORDER, and only God Almighty is going to be able to “straighten things out”! If I sound pessimistic about the future of my country - you’re right. My hope is in God and in His Holy word; I see NO “hope” anywhere else in this world! I believe that time is short [Luke 19:13]. We Christians should be doing everything in our power to support those brothers (especially in other countries) who are out there on the “front lines”, faithfully preaching & teaching the word of God, and hazarding their lives (and the lives of their loved ones) for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Just exactly what do we treasure? What is it that we desire (or covet) so much that we have lost sight of this simple truth? When we leave this world (either by death or being translated) we aren’t going to be able to take one single thing with us. Don’t fret and don’t despair. God is in control of events – Ultimately He will be victorious [Revelation Chapters 19 – 22].

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
