THE DUTIES & FUNCTION OF GOVERNMENT

        TWO MAIN PHILOSOPHIES OF GOVERNING

TRADITIONAL                                 PROGRESSIVE

  {Conservative - Libertarian}                              {Liberal - Socialist}

TO PROTECT                                 TO PROVIDE FOR

                  LIFE                                                                       LIFE

     LIBERTY                                                              LIBERTY

   PROPERTY                                                          PROPERTY

 LEADERS                                           LEADERS

          SERVANTS                                                     MASTERS

         STEWARDS                                                  BENEFACTORS

    SERVE                                                            RULE

  OVERSEE                                                        DICTATE

The Traditionalist desires to PROTECT                           The Progressive wants to PROVIDE for

Individual Life, Liberty, & Property by                            People’s Life, Liberty, & Property by

Protecting a person’s Individual Rights -                        Providing people with special Privileges -

Given to them by Almighty God.                                   Granted to them by Government.

When a Government endeavors to PROTECT an individual’s Life, Liberty, & Property the outgrowth of such

a policy is a restrained and unobtrusive administration, which does not deprive individuals of their life, liberty,

or property - which results in a fair and just society. But when a Government seeks to PROVIDE for peoples

Life, Liberty, or Property the outgrowth of such a policy is an autocratic bureaucracy forcefully taking things

from someone (depriving them of their individual rights) and giving them to others - which results in a society

permeated with jealousy, envy, and covetousness. Any impartial and objective observer can easily discern which

of the two systems of government is susceptible to exploitation, corruption, and abuse. Only a “strong delusion”

[2Thessalonians 2:11] could lead someone to think otherwise.

Proverbs 28:15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
